Hurricanes, tropical storms and flooding are among the most destructive natural catastrophes impacting lives, property and the environment. In recent years, we have seen the destructive effects of these events and the impact to our communities. For 2024, some hurricane season predictions are at their highest level ever regarding number of storms and hurricanes. They range between 16 and 28 named storms and 8 to 16 reaching hurricane strength.[1],[2],[3],[4] Our disaster response center provides resources on preparedness and actions to take to assist your organization in the event of a weather related event.
