WTW launches Technology industry practice in Australia and New Zealand to boost technology specialty services

SYDNEY, September 10, 2024 – WTW (Nasdaq: WTW), a leading global advisory, broking, and solutions company, today announces the formation of a dedicated Technology industry practice within its Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) business in Australia and New Zealand, led by Ben Di Marco, Cyber and Technology Risk Specialist.

Comprising of nine specialists in the team, the WTW Technology industry practice will leverage the unique cross-functional skillsets in the company to help technology organisations in Australia and New Zealand remain abreast of the key current and emerging risks impacting the industry locally and globally. Particularly, this includes issues that will significantly shape insurance programmes for technology product and service companies.

The WTW Australia cybersecurity team was recently named as Cyber Security Consulting Business of the Year (Enterprise) by Cyber Daily in Australia. With close to 20 years of legal and insurance advisory experience, Ben’s work in WTW focuses on helping organisations understand their data security exposure and tailoring responsive resiliency and insurance solutions. He is also an admitted solicitor specialising in technology risk, insurance, data privacy, incident response and dispute resolution.

In addition, Ben sits on numerous advisory bodies, including as Vice President of the Australasian Society of Computers and Law, and guest lectures at five universities on topics including Insurance, Cyber and Technology Law, Information Security and Data-Governance. He joined WTW in 2019, leading WTW’s cyber and technology risk insurance team within its CRB business in Australia and New Zealand.
