WTW annual report for 1 Jan 2022 to 31 Dec 2022
We believe that effective stewardship is key to sustainable investing. WTW’s Investments business continues to highlight the power of effective stewardship, as we have done for many years. We recognise the role that we play in the investment industry, and we endeavour to meaningfully contribute to progress in this space. On this page you can find our latest stewardship report, which describes our activities and progress across our global Investments business.
We are pleased to be current signatories of the UK Stewardship Code and have submitted our latest report to the Financial Reporting Council to maintain our signatory status for 2023. WTW supports and recognises the UK Stewardship Code as setting good practice standards in the advancement and implementation of investor stewardship globally.
This year’s report reflects all our Investments business activities – across research, fiduciary management and advisory – and addresses all the principles the Code covers, along with detailed context, activities and outcomes reporting. We have paid particular attention to work undertaken in 2022 and are pleased to share what we see as our meaningful contributions to a more sustainable industry and future for us all.
Highlights of our stewardship activity can be found in the Executive Summary, but for further details, explanation, and case studies we refer you to our full report. Within each we also have dedicated spotlight pages to the following key stewardship areas:
This page contains links to certain historical documents which were issued by Willis Towers Watson (WTW) as at the date specified on each linked document, in relation to the products offered by WTW. WTW believes that it is useful to investors to retain these documents on our website, for your information and reference purposes. Each such document was assessed as being compliant with prevailing regulatory requirements as at its date of issue, including that its contents are fair, clear and not misleading. Given that these documents were issued as at a specific point in time, WTW does not believe it would be appropriate to retrospectively amend those documents. As a result such documents have not been reviewed in light of any subsequent regulatory guidance or market practice including the FCA’s anti-greenwashing guidance (FG24/3). Any persons accessing this page, and the documents made available on this page, should not seek to rely on such documents and should use them only for information or reference purposes. Any investment decision should be based exclusively on the formal offer and subscription documents for the relevant investment product, and not these historical documents.
