We support and recognise the 2020 UK Stewardship Code (‘the Code’) as setting good practice standards in the advancement and implementation of investor stewardship.
The purpose of this report is to demonstrate our adherence to the Code for the period 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2020.
This report is in respect of investment services provided to institutional asset owner clients by our Investments line of business. Given the range of business activities undertaken by Willis Towers Watson Investments, including fiduciary management, and in line with the recommendations and guidance provided by the Code, we will report against the principles for asset owners and asset managers as well as those for service providers.
In addition, we note our significant interaction with the wider investment industry including regulators, other consultants and third-party intermediaries, and so recognise our ability and responsibility to encourage and improve processes in respect of stewardship of the system as a whole, and the benefits that this can deliver to all our clients.
