Women face markedly different challenges than men when it comes to physical, mental and financial wellbeing. Not only do women face physical health risks that men do not around biological issues such as their reproductive health, they can also be more susceptible to general population conditions such as cardiovascular disease, which is the leading cause of death for women globally. Further, the responsibility of childrearing as well as other social and environmental pressures significantly impact a woman’s mental wellbeing and her capability to reach financial stability.

With women making up more of our workforces than ever today, this represents a business risk just as much as an individual one. It’s imperative to enable the full potential of women in the workplace through practical support strategies to not only safeguard their wellbeing, but also stay competitive.

As part of our ongoing advocacy in the space of women’s health, WTW has developed EmpowerHER Health, a women’s health e-guide which aims to empower employees — not just women who may be directly impacted, but also those looking to support partners, friends and colleagues — with the knowledge to better navigate these key issues.
