Ireland Auto enrolment overview

Please take the chance to review our short video which overviews the new Irish Auto enrolment system due to be implemented with effect from September 2025. We cover the key questions that employers need to address.

WTW provides an overview of the Irish Government's plans to implement Auto-Enrolment in September 2025. Ireland is currently the only OECD country that does not have a pensions Auto-Enrolment system, and its introduction is long overdue. This video was recorded in February 2024, since then the go-live date has been amended to September 2025.

It is estimated that only one in three private sector workers have supplementary pension provision and that when Auto-Enrolment goes live it will provide retirement savings access to an additional 750,000 Irish employees.

So what do we know about Auto-Enrolment? And what are the key questions employers need to consider in advance of Auto-Enrolment going live?

In this video we provide insight into the features of the new Auto-Enrolment system “My Future Fund”, we set out the key questions that companies will need to consider, and we then outline how WTW can help companies prepare for the new requirements.
