Given the dynamic and evolving risk environment that asset managers face today, the importance of maintaining high standards of operational risk management cannot be underestimated. We’ve designed the Operational Due Diligence Structured Assessment Method to provide an independent evaluation of operational processes for asset managers.
Our Operational Due Diligence Structured Assessment Method offers a robust solution, leveraging our operational expertise across various asset classes for the benefit of asset managers. The assessment results can now be used to supplement the insurance underwriting process, creating a more detailed and personalized presentation of a manager’s risk profile. For the first time, we are able to draw a direct link between good operational risk management and better insurance outcomes for managing financial and executive risks, benefitting asset managers of various types.
What is the Operational Due Diligence Structured Assessment Method?
Operational Due Diligence Structured Assessment Method is an independent assessment of operational risk management designed for managers of various asset classes and delivered by the WTW Operational Due Diligence team. Utilizing the InvestConnect platform, we leverage our in-depth manager research risk database compiled over 10 years with operational due diligence reviews of many asset managers.
The report is generated from an extensive set of closed-ended questions completed by asset managers that address a broad range of risk categories. Managers who meet a minimum standard will receive WTW’s Operational Due Diligence Seal.
How it works
- Manager survey: Complete a detailed survey with approximately 200 closed-ended questions covering various operational aspects.
- Risk evaluation: Receive a risk report based on your responses, highlighting potential operational risks with a traffic light system.
- Continuous improvement: Use the insights from the assessment to address operational weaknesses and enhance your infrastructure.
