EX Conversations – Asia Pacific
In the first video in the EX Conversations series, we discussed the importance of having a high-performing employee experience. In this module, we take a closer look at how the employee experience comes under pressure during times of change — and how employers can respond.
Our research tells us that employees look for two fundamental experiences from work: a sense of connection; and in making a meaningful contribution, both through the work we do, as well as being able to grow and be rewarded accordingly.
“Empathy is an important skill for managers to have during a transformation.”
Keiko Okada
Head of Talent & Rewards, Japan
Both of these experiences can be thrown off during a business transformation, if that change isn’t communicated and “translated”, in the words of our experts Craig and Keiko, thoughtfully and empathetically, into how it impacts employees in their day-to-day work, the way their performance is evaluated, and so on.
Without this line of sight, employees can be left feeling disjointed from the business transformation, which may ultimately impact its success.
So, how can employers manage this change? Watch the video above and follow our EX Conversations series to hear more.
