Featuring SM, Ayala Corp, and our Philippine Climate Disclosure Survey
The recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) emphasize the importance of transparency in pricing risk, including risks related to climate change, to support informed and efficient capital-allocation decisions. These recommendations help companies understand how climate change will affect their businesses, consider what financial markets want from disclosures in order to respond to climate change risks, and align companies’ disclosures with needs of investors and other stakeholders.
In this round table discussion, speakers help raise Philippine corporations’ awareness and appreciation of the TCFD guidelines to promote the availability and quality of climate-related disclosure. Our speakers also discuss the benefits and challenges in undertaking these recommendations.
Through Willis Towers Watson’s 1st Climate Disclosure Pulse Survey in the Philippines, corporates can conduct an initial self-assessment of their readiness to make a TCFD-aligned report on their position. Corporates which answer the survey will get a report on their company’s readiness benchmarked against their peers.
