Now in its second edition, the list is based on an independent survey of more than 16,000 employees conducted by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and global research company, Statista.

Survey respondents were asked to rate over 3,400 companies and institutions across 28 industries in the Philippines through an online survey conducted from May to June this year. They were asked to give their opinions on various work-related topics, ranging from working conditions, salary, potential for development, to company image. Employers with at least 250 employees in the Philippines were considered and given a score based on two criteria: direct recommendation, including how willing their employees are to recommend their employers to their friends and family; and indirect recommendation, including how willing employees are to recommend other employers within their industry.
