Emerge 2021 is a virtual conference that took place on 8-10 June 2021. Through compelling conversations with guest speakers and HR experts from leading organisations across Asia Pacific, we explored how the world of work has changed and the actions employers are taking to continue to deliver powerful employee experiences.

Day 1: Transformation of work: The impact on rewards, benefits and the employee experience

Guest speakers Sompo and Optum shared fascinating stories on how employers in the region are emerging in 2021 by shaping their people strategies to enhance the employee experience, build resilience, support employee wellbeing, modernise benefits and embrace the future of work and rewards.

Day 2: Breakout sessions

Reimagining work, rewards and skills

Our future of work experts and guest speakers from SkillsFuture Singapore, Bank Rakyat Indonesia and CIMB Bank had engaging conversations on building a skills-based ecosystem, redesigning work to keep up with digital transformation, and the journey ahead for HR.

Modernising benefits to fit a new tomorrow

During this session, we had insightful interviews with The Coca-Cola Company and Nestlé Philippines on the fundamental long-term changes to the employee benefits landscape through the lenses of flexible and hybrid work, employee resilience and wellbeing, and cost optimisation.

The time is now for wellbeing to take centre stage

We took a closer look at the importance of employee wellbeing across the four dimensions – physical, financial, emotional and social – featuring interviews with eBay and Sutherland Global Services on how they are shaping wellbeing strategies for their employees, including a deep dive into financial wellbeing and retirement planning.

Beyond Data: Pay and talent trends in a changing environment

Our Beyond Data session explored the latest compensation data insights, employer actions related to rewarding digital talent, using internal and external data to drive HR decisions, and a spotlight on Fintech, including an insightful conversation with bolttech on how they are powering their HR model.

Day 3: Looking ahead: ESG, globalisation and longevity

Our thought leaders explored three emerging mega trends – the impact of globalisation, the journey towards ESG and climate goals, and trends in longevity and ageing – and the implications on Asia Pacific employers, with a guest speaker from Mizuho Bank.
