Pension index increased in February
The WTW Pension Index increased in February 2023, recovering January’s declines. The increase was primarily due to a decrease in liabilities as discount rates increase, partially offset by negative investment returns. As a result, the February 28, 2023 index level of 101.3 reflects an increase of 1.4% for the month.
